Poetic metaphor coming from a political leader, especially a metaphor that departs from stubborn facts, generates a lot of additional meanings. Comparing the economic crisis with shoulder pain of a caterpillar that is trying hard to grow wings gave rise to the questioning ornament-bewilderment. The triptych “When the wings are cutting” is posing a question to the quality of the change and to the quality of the promised flight; it discusses the consumption that has become a cult and the very possibility of the flight in its multi-vector conditions.
